Victor Bustamante

Victor Bustamante

Victor is owner and President of Mid-Florida Prosthetics and Orthotics. He is a State Licensed Prosthetist-Orthotist who has dedicated over 30 years of his life to treating those with limb loss and disabilities. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics in 1988. Victor grew up in South Florida, can speak Spanish, and enjoys fishing, diving, and spending time with his wife Isabel and three children.

Darhlene Chan

Darhlene Chan

Darhlene has been in the field of orthotics & prosthetics for over 20 years. She attended Rutgers University where she earned her B.S. before going on to receive Certificates in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Newington and Northwestern University. She is the primary clinician in our Lake City clinic and also sees patients in Gainesville. Darhlene likes to spend her spare time fishing and going to the beach.

Brendan Irwin

Brendan Irwin

Brendan is an ABC Certified and State Licensed Prosthetist-Orthotist.  He graduated with a B.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1997 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He received his degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Century College in 2005 and now serves as Residency Director for Mid-Florida's NCOPE Certified Residency Program.  Brendan enjoys fitness, reading, the blues, good whiskey, and spending time with his family.

Colby Curtis

Colby Curtis

Colby received her B.S. in Orthotics and Prosthetics from St. Petersburg College before going on to earn a Master of Science in Engineering specializing in Orthotic and Prosthetic Management from Florida State University. She is a State Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetic Resident who joined Mid-Florida in 2017.  Colby enjoys spending time with her wonderful family.

Keith Young

Keith earned his Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Eastern Michigan University and is a State Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetic Resident serving our Ocala and Gainesville clinics. He loves working with people and problem solving, and speaks Spanish as a second language. His favorite activity is playing with his daughter, and he wishes he had time for woodworking. Keith lives in Gainesville with his wife Joslin, daughter Camille, and their dog, Bear.

Chris Adkins

Chris Adkins

Chris has been in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor’s from Methodist University and is a Certified and State Licensed Orthotic Fitter. In addition to treating patients, Chris is the Lab Manager for Mid-Florida, overseeing the fabrication of all the custom prosthetic and orthotic devices we provide. He is an Ocala native, and he and his wife Rebecca are raising 2 exciting, active little girls who love trips to Disney.

Madelyn Walsh

Madelyn Walsh

Madelyn is a State Licensed Orthotic Resident with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Florida. After completing her undergraduate studies, she went on to receive her Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering specializing in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Florida International University. She serves as a Resident Representative for the board of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics. In her free time, Madelyn enjoys a good margarita, exercising, good food, boating and fishing, or relaxing at the beach with her friends and family in Tampa.

Frederick Estok

Frederick is a licensed prosthetist, with over 35 years of experience, working in the state of Florida since 1985. Fred's expertise includes working with adults and pediatrics with all levels of limb loss. Fred is currently involved in a virtual amputee support groups as the prosthetic facilitator to assist amputees at all stages of their recovery. Fred has served as the President of the Florida Chapter of the Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. In his free time, Fred enjoys working on his U-pick fruit farm, being an amateur wine maker, training his 2 Australian Cattle dogs, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Fred is married, has 1 daughter and 4 beautiful grandchildren.
